Pineapples can be obtained by harvesting pineapple plants. Pineapple plants are found scattered around the island and are an easy food source early in the game. They do not need to be cooked and once crafted into an Open Pineapple, they can restore +6 hunger when eaten.

You can grow pineapple plants by crafting the Pineapple Crown from a pineapple. Pineapple plants can be placed anywhere on grass or dirt. The plants cannot be picked up once placed, only destroyed. Over a specific period of time a pineapple will grow. You may harvest the pineapple and the plant will begin the cycle of growing another.
